Reasons why some students will never go back to school even if corona virus ends today
Since the outbreak of Corona virus was officially announced in African countries, the education system was forced to be suspended with a wider reason behind to help flatten the curve drawn by infections statistics. This happened like 5 months ago, so far, some countries have resumed education, such as Tanzania but most of them have not yet. Now, a rumor has gone viral in some of the countries to resume schools in September as others decide to fully fold their hands and wait for next year, that is, if things might be better for schools to resume.
With our team, we decided to go deep into the families and ask them their opinions on if going back to school is still possible with regards to the current situations that many of them are going through. The highest percentage said that they were not yet ready unless the government gives them some time, in assumption of, in the virus may end today while some backed down saying, Going back to school is not going to be possible even if it ends today, it’s not going to change anything at all.
Since we were into reasons why such might happen, we also decided to take their opinions and we came up with a total conclusion on the reasons why students from such families will never open schools. 1. Drug abuse indulgence
For students to stay at home needed a concentrated decision as to why they were to stay at home, in this case, all the reasons were with Corona virus. It was a way to help not only keep the students safe but also to help straighten the curve of statistics, and as they said that, everything with an expected advantage, must also have an expected disadvantage, this act gave birth to a new issue among the students as they kept on staying at home in most African countries.
There is always no bad enemy like having an idle mind on earth, anything that comes out, you are always ready to face and be involved in. Drug abuse has increased among the youths and it is no longer easy to control, take a look at your neighborhood, are they safe in this, if yes then thank God for that since most answers we came across was that, even a class seven child was a drug addict. Therefore, even if the schools might be set to resume today or tomorrow as rumors go by, it is just not going to be easy.
2. Poverty
This is another reason behind likeliness of some students never going back to school even if the virus ends today. The main issue here is that, the virus came and invaded us thereby, interfering with the economy. Due to this some families have been badly affected and are finding it hard to even provide a daily meal for their stomachs and young ones in the family. You see, it is going to be difficult for these families to have the fees in hand to support the learning of their children. On their behalf, we request the government to take note of the issue of the school fees. These are the voters who voted the current government into the office who are now struggling as if they are not supposed to be part of the nation.
They are surviving with hopes in God, as they also thank Him for the gift of life even though it is not moving for them as it should be. Now, children from these families are never going back to school even if the virus ends today due to the fact that they won’t be able to support themselves not only in school but also at Home, not easy.
3. Lack of learning resources
Many things have happened during this pandemic and many are still expected to happen since we still do not when exactly the sunshine will shine over us concerning the matter. Due to the reason we have mentioned earlier in this document, some families suffered through circumstances that made their lives harder to handle. Some experienced house lose through fire, where the fire started and burned everything to ashes, while others, due to natural disasters like floods, they were forced to flee away from their places of residence leaving everything and departing to go start a new life somewhere else, something that affording is also another issue.
4. Inability to access news.
News makes people well aware of what is going on in the nation and the world as a whole. To some families, accessing news have been a problem with it behind that the poverty has also eaten up their ability to get access to televisions and all that stuff. They are behind the curtains on issues to do with what is facing people and the nation as a whole and they are at a position to even realize that the schools are about to open, they are not just aware. On our list, this is another problem that may hinder some students from going back to schools.
5. Lose of interest
We know you might disagree with us on this but here is the truth about it. The pandemic indeed exposed many youths to the public environment and they had to adapt as it is expected of them. Due to lack of cash that a person needs help in support of his or her daily life, many students had to find a way of depending on themselves by having to step outside and hustle, and hustle as it is indeed. The other part of it is that, money is always as sweet as it is known to be, whenever you start receiving it, there are high chances you will have to concentrate with the source. This is to those students who always find hard time to survive in schools due to lack of pocket money or such stuffs. They easily lose interest in education and focus on hustling harder. Again, we came to a conclusion that school is not just by luck to some people, they really struggle for it.
